EyeZoom™ is the first and only variable magnification loupe on the market: three magnification levels — 3x, 4x and 5x — in a single device. Co-engineered with Konica Minolta, with a magnesium bezel and edge-to-edge clarity at all three levels. The working distance remains consistent when changing magnification, with no need to reposition. Custom-made for each surgeon.
EyeZoom™ was introduced by Orascoptic in 2015 as the world's first and only variable magnification loupe. Developed in co-engineering with Konica Minolta, its patent-pending technology offers three magnification levels — 3x, 4x and 5x — with edge-to-edge clarity and high resolution at every level.
EyeZoom™'s key differentiator compared to any other loupe on the market is that the working distance remains constant when switching between the three magnification levels. This allows the surgeon to adapt magnification according to the type of procedure — or even during the same procedure — without needing to reposition, without interrupting surgical workflow and without changing loupes.
With a field width of 10.20 cm at 3x, EyeZoom™ offers a generous visual field at the lowest magnification level, which progressively narrows to 6.35 cm at 5x, following the physics of magnification but with values superior to those of fixed loupes of the same power. The magnesium bezel keeps the weight at 86.2 g, light for a loupe with three magnification levels. All optical systems are manufactured with fine annealed Grade A glass lenses with scratch-resistant and anti-reflective coatings. Available in TTL on Legend™, Rave™, Rydon™ and Victory™ frames.
EyeZoom™ in detail: the variable magnification mechanism, the magnesium bezel, and the technology co-developed with Konica Minolta.

EyeZoom™ is the loupe for surgeons who work across multiple specialties, perform procedures of varying complexity in the same day, or simply do not want to choose between field of view and detail.
3x for examination and a wide field, 4x for intermediate procedures, 5x for fine detail. A single loupe that covers the entire surgical day without the need to switch systems.
When switching between 3x, 4x, and 5x, the working distance remains constant. There is no need to reposition when changing magnification, which preserves posture and procedural flow.
With a 10.20 cm field width at 3x, EyeZoom™ offers a wider field of view at its lowest setting than many fixed loupes of the same power, making orientation in the surgical field easier.
Ophthalmology, neurosurgery, plastic, vascular, or general surgery — procedures with different optical needs that EyeZoom™ covers without changing loupes between patients or procedures.
Introduced in 2015 as the world's first variable loupe, EyeZoom™ brings together years of real clinical use and continuous improvements. A mature, proven technology in the operating room.
EyeZoom™ maintains a consistent working distance across all three magnification levels. Measurements at a 43.7–45.5 cm working distance without prescription lenses.
The field specifications correspond to each magnification level in the order indicated: 3x · 4x · 5x.
