A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in the user's browser when they visit it. Cookies allow the site to remember information about the visit, such as language preferences, which makes browsing easier and improves the user experience.
In accordance with Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), Optimedic S.L. informs users about the cookies used on optimedic.es and their purposes.
Optimedic.es uses a minimal number of cookies. Below, we detail each of them organised by category.
These cookies are essential for the basic functioning of the website and cannot be disabled in our settings panel.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| optimedic_consent | Stores the user's cookie consent preferences (version and selected options in JSON format) | 1 year | First-party / Technical |
These cookies allow the user experience to be personalised. They are only activated if the user expressly accepts them in the settings panel.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| optimedic_locale | Stores the user's preferred language (es/en/fr) to automatically redirect them on future visits | 1 year | First-party / Preference |
Optimedic.es uses two web analytics tools with different purposes and behaviours.
OpenPanel (anonymous analytics, always active)
OpenPanel is hosted on proprietary servers (self-hosted) and works without cookies: it does not install any file on the user's device or use localStorage or other local storage mechanisms. Data is processed in a fully anonymous and aggregated manner, without being combined with other services or transferred to third parties.
As it meets the criteria for anonymous analytics set out in Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE and the guidelines of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), this tool operates without requiring the user's prior consent.
Google Analytics 4 (requires consent)
If the user accepts the "Analytics" category in the settings panel, Google Analytics 4 is activated, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited (controller in the EEA) and Google LLC (controller in the U.S.). This tool makes it possible to measure site performance in greater detail (audiences, conversion funnels, campaign attribution) and installs the following cookies:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Anonymously identifies the visitor to distinguish unique users | 2 years | Third-party / Analytics |
| ga* | Maintains session state and collects usage statistics for the Analytics property | 2 years | Third-party / Analytics |
If the user rejects the "Analytics" category, Google Analytics is not loaded and no cookies are installed. OpenPanel will continue operating in anonymous mode regardless of the user's decision.
International data transfer
The use of Google Analytics involves the transfer of personal data (including the truncated IP address and a device identifier) to Google LLC servers located in the United States. This transfer is based on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and Google's participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Google acts as a data processor.
For more information, you can consult the Google Privacy Policy, the document How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and the "Web analytics" section of our Privacy Policy.
This website currently does not use marketing or advertising cookies. The category is reserved in the preferences panel for possible future integrations (such as Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag or Google Ads). If they are incorporated, this policy will be updated and the user's prior consent will be requested before activation.
This website installs third-party cookies exclusively when the user gives their express consent for the "Analytics" category. In that case, the Google LLC cookies described in the "Analytics cookies" section are loaded.
No other service integrated into the site installs cookies in the visitor's browser: not Adobe Fonts, not Google Fonts, nor Brevo.
When accessing optimedic.es for the first time, a cookie consent banner is displayed at the bottom of the screen. From there, you can accept all cookies, reject them, or access the settings panel to select the categories you wish to allow.
You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Configure cookies" link available in the website footer.
You can also manage cookies directly from your browser settings. Below are links to the instructions for the most commonly used browsers:
If you disable necessary cookies from your browser, some website features may not be available or may not function properly.
Optimedic S.L. reserves the right to modify this cookie policy to adapt it to legislative developments, case law criteria, or changes in the technical configuration of the website. Any significant change will be communicated through the consent banner.
